The fallen

after a nightmare 

I wake up I’m covered in sweat and I’m short of breath. When I look at the clock it says 4:30, half 5 I get up and take my sports clothes out and walk to the bathroom and take a shower. When I get out it’s 5 o’clock, I change into my sports clothes and put some clothes in my schoolbag and go downstairs. It’s 5 miles to school but if I go through the woods it will be 3 miles and then I can get there in less than 4 hours.

before I could go I needed to call someone “scarlet? Why do you call at this hour” he asks “he Nathan can I drop my school back, and then I see you at school?” I asked, “where are you now?” “right outside you’re a door,” i heard him get up and not long after the door opened 'alright see you at school' he said with a sight In the woods, I saw something really weird he reminded me of someone but I don’t know who, he had golden blonde hair and almost golden eyes I didn’t pay that much attention to him at that moment but when I looked back he also did and our eyes met each other I got a weird feeling in my chest I just ignored it and ran further.

Last days I wasn’t home I told my parents that I was on a school trip, but actually, I was in some sort of center for sleeping problems. There I was being monitored because I can’t sleep that good. The other day I went to sleep and I got this dream, and ever since it always came back. The doctor who was in care for me couldn’t explain the dream he said it could be some sort of a memory from another life or something or from before I was adopted. Every time I woke up from this dream I went to the gym they had there and sweated it out, as result I can run 10-30 miles in a couple of hours.

I ran through the school gates and straight to my locker -It was now 7:30- Nathan had already dropped off my bag in my locker -he knew my code- I picked it up and went to the showers in the dressing room I showered and changed into regular clothes and went back outside. ‘time to go to the director’ I muttered. I needed to give the papers of the center to him because of him I was there.

On my way to his office, I got lost I my thoughts. I got so lost I walked up to someone, a boy he had brown hair and brownish eyes he looked so familiar, he couldn’t be. There was that weird feeling again only this time a moment of my dream came to me that guy who pushed me aside. As my thought kept going to that guy and that moment of that dream. Still lost in my thoughts I got to the office ‘good morning’ the lady behind the front desk one knock ‘come in’ I heard ‘the papers of the sleeping center sir’ I said still with my mind somewhere else. 

‘excuse me sir’ I said leaving his office walking up to someone ‘can’t you look-’ ‘I’m sorry’ I said ‘scarlet? Be more careful next time will ya, maybe I was that guy from the football team that doesn’t like you what would happen then huh?’ he said ‘I’m sorry matt, really, but I’m just tired’ I said ‘I know, you’ve been through a lot the few weeks but you really need to take care of yourself’ he said. ‘I’m trying really but it’s heard you know I’m almost never home as I’m in the centre’ I said, I was on the point of a mental breakdown, but I had to be strong after all I was the smartest student here in this school.

‘Sir, I’ve found her’ he said ‘so it’s true that they are back’ I said ‘yes master it’s true they are back, but it seems that they have amnesia because of these forms they are in’ he told me ‘do they look different than the other times?’ ‘she looks a little bit different, more in form than other times’ he said ‘so she’s been training’ I asked ‘yes sir this is how she looks now’ he took out the picture and gave it to me ‘there are also two others that were spotted around town. the father and son although they don’t know about each other here’ he said ‘so bill cipher and Dominic showed up to get them and find the others but first get that raven here we can’t let her bring all of them together again my father was lucky that time they are too strong together’ ‘yes master’ he bowed and left again

back at RichWood high

‘alright, alright. Don’t start to cry I know it’s hard for you but be strong you are Scarlet Michalis the top students of Rich Wood High, the ideal student of this school’ he said giving my ego a boost. Lunch break. The favorite break of every student even mine, it’s the time no one is on the field to sport or run so in my gym clothes and my past sports shoes I’m on the track running rounds as long as I can not even noticing the track team coming onto the field because they have training. 

‘look at her’ someone said ‘coach we need her on the team she could get us to the finals’ another girl said ‘maybe just start running aks her to start with us and we’ll see’ the coach said ‘hey you’ someone yelled so is stopped running as I was by the group ‘want to run with us?’ someone else asked ‘sure’ I said no one recognized me because of the hoody I was wearing. next thing we do is standing on our track to run and the coach blowing her whistle and we start running. Everyone slowly falls off after 5 minutes or so only 2 others besides me were left, ‘come on charis, you can do this beat that amateur’ someone yells after the other one couldn’t keep up ‘you’re at 10minutes’ the coach yelled ‘alright let’s finish this’ I thought starting to speed up a bit.

At that moment the so-called Charis slowed down and was out of breath, and stopped running I wasn’t tired at all and speeded up even more to my limit after another 4 minutes I stopped running, ‘how can you not be tired after that’ someone asked ‘I live over 5 miles from here and I ran to school this morning, this was nothing’ I said getting my bottle of water. ‘I’m off’ I said and left the tracks taking a run for the dressing rooms to be in time for gym ‘you’re late miss Michalis’ the teacher said ‘I’m sorry mister smith, I got held up by the track team after running’

apologizing ‘for this one time, now stand in line were doing the beep test today’ he said after I got to my place it started and guess what I was the last one standing together with this guy, and it was the guy from this morning, ‘the guy from my dream’ i thought but not long after he was out ‘trap 16’ the robotic voice said ‘not done yet, Michalis?’ mister smith yelled ‘not done at all’ I said back, past trap 21 I was done and couldn’t make it in time. ‘that’s a new record in school history’ one of the other teachers said.

‘time’s up, see you next week class’ mister Smith said and we were dismissed, I quickly changed and got to the next class, latin. ‘avete genus’ miss Blair said ‘salve miss Blair’ a few said back, for some time we had a conversation with each other in Latin and learned some more things, but it was way to easy, ‘alright class next week we’re going to learn about old Latin’ she said as the bell rang through the building. We got up and walked out of the building. At the school gate, a car came rushing towards me ‘get in scar’ Nathan said ‘why I was planning on running home’ ‘because a moment ago some creep asked me about you, so get in’ he said and opened the door I got in like he said and he drove me home.

After dinner the doorbell rang ‘I’ll get it’ I said and walked to the door, once I opened it. ‘Nathan?’ I asked confused. He stood there our eyes locked, ‘why don’t you come in’ I said as I noticed he was soaked wet. But before he could come in he fell to the ground ‘o my god Nathan!’ I said catching him right on time. ‘who’s at the door sweetheart?’ I heard my mom call out ‘it’s Nathan’ I yell back, I saw someone standing in the distance, and another guy passed by right in front of the door ‘they're looking for you, watch out raven’ I heard someone say

my head began to spin and by the time Nathan got up he was just in time to catch me ‘hey are you alright’ he asked ‘yeah just a bit dizzy’ I said, I know I lied. they didn’t have to worry about me. He let out a sigh ‘why are you here?’ I asked as I leaned against the wall after closing the door. ‘I came to check on you, I had a bad feeling, like something was going to happen’ he said, Nathan and his gut feeling, it comes in handy most of the time, it’s like a sixth sense, most of the time he’s right, but on rare occasions he’s wrong. ‘let’s go to my room first, let’s talk then’ I muttered, I wasn’t feeling all that great, and now he was here, telling me this it got too much, he nodded.

We went upstairs to my bedroom ‘it sure changed a lot since the last time I was in here’ he said ‘yeah I needed the change’ I said, the last time he was here was only 3 months ago or so, but long story short I repainted my room, switched my single bed to a double bed, and had now a little living room, and across the hallway, where my brother used to sleep before he moved out, is now my workroom, so with my desk and computer. ‘hey, you don’t have your desk in here anymore?’ he asked ‘no I have my own little office now since Jake moved out a week after you last came, we moved everything out and I created my own little workroom in there’ I said sitting down in one of the armchairs. ‘so, are you sure you’re alright’ he asked ‘yeah… like I said I just felt a bit dizzy but that’s over now’ I said, I hated to lie to him

dream or reality?

‘alright, but like I said I came here because I had a feeling something bad was about to happen’ he said ‘you can ask my mom if you can stay the night’ I said ‘yeah I think I will do that’ he said walking out of my room. I stood up and walked in the bathroom, changing into something more comfortable. Once he got back and said he got the approval, we started talking, I told him about the center and why I needed to go there and he told me some things, ‘ my dad had been in an accident and died in it or at least so he says’ Nathan told me ‘so how does he know’ ‘ he told me he dreamed about it, and when he went to see someone they told him that I could've been a memory of how he had died in a previous life’ he said ‘have you had a dream like that?’ I asked ‘actually I have but at least it wasn’t me who died’ he said looking down

you can tell me about it’ I said ‘I saw two groups fighting, one group with weapons and all, they had the upper hand, and were with about 12 people, the other group was with 9, 3 girls and 6 man, but they were different, they had this powers, one of the younger boys and 2 of the girls were already death, after that one of the younger males pushed the girl aside and got badly injured and died, one of the older men was also death by that time, then something happened and the younger male and the last girl died and the older man, I don’t know they probably died too, because smoke was everywhere’ he told

I could cry I felt the pain, and I thought I have seen this somewhere before ‘maybe you should come to the center with me sometime maybe they can help’ I said looking away, I walked over to my closet and grabbed a pillow and a blanket ‘here you go’ I said laying it off the biggest couch ‘goodnight’ I said as I turned the light off ‘goodnight’….

"There I stood in the middle of a field I was up in front, a small group behind me and a bigger group in front of us, they had weapons. A rush of confidence, and not long after we were fighting. They had weapons but we had powers no one else had ‘mason watch out’ I heard someone yell before he himself went down. A burning feeling in my chest, tears streaming down, the boy called Mason fell on the ground, and the 2 girl followed. ‘raven run’ someone called out to me, and before I can react pushes one of the others me aside, he fell on his knees ‘Dominic’ one of the 2 man called out rushing towards us, I turn around and want to run but before I can I get hit by something, blue and red flames surround us, but die out not long after, a chant, followed by a wave of energy and darkness… "

I shot up, tears streaming down. I get up and walk into my bathroom ‘scarlet?’ a voice outside ‘scarlet?’ again, this time it sounded more desperate ‘open the door’ again… ‘I’m fine Nathan, I just had a nightmare’ I said after realising it was him ‘sure you are alright?’ he asked ‘yeah, it was just a nightmare’ I said as I looked at the clock that hang in the bathroom, half past 5, I followed with my normal morning routine, but the only difference is that Nathan is here. After I was done in the bathroom and fully dressed I got all my stuff in my bag. ‘I need to get my car, and other school stuff, do you want to come?’ he asked ‘yeah sure’ I said as we walked down the stairs. ‘sure you are alright’ he asked on the way to his home ‘yeah, like I said it was just a nightmare’ I said again ‘I will drop you of at school, I know you mostly go run after you had a night like these, so you can go run at the tracks’ he said

 he said after that we got into his car. ‘thanks’ I said as I looked back outside. Why did I feel so… so heartbroken, I realized that was almost crying, the feeling of great loss overwhelmed me ‘here you go see you later’ he said as I got out the car, I quickly dropped my schoolbag in my locker and grabbed some water. Once I changed I went to the tracks and started running right away. My lessons didn’t start until 1 p.m. because some teachers were sick, but I didn’t tell Nathan that he knew he could find me here. As I ran I couldn’t help but think about the dream, we were a total group of 9, a total of 6 guys and 3 girls. There were 3 older males that looked like the only difference was the collar and how they behaved, the guy in yellow was kind of insane and in love with the one in blue who seemed very sensitive and the third was red and full of hidden range. The younger males were kind of similar but at the same time not. One of them had goldish streaks in his brown hair and seemed to be related to the guy in yellow, his boyfriend was a bit more insane he wore a cape and his hair was a lot darker and his eyes a deep blue, and the third guy, was more of a fighter but he had a good and loving heart, he had more of a reddish shine to this brown hair and a hint of red in his eyes, like one of the two other females, she always smiled, and cared a lot about the others, she on her turn had purplish steeks here and there in her hair and her eyes were more like a pinkish color, and last but not least the other girl, she also had dark brown hair and blue eyes and similar to the younger male with the cape.

And then was there the opposite side, they were all men all full acquit with weapons and heavy guns. And also in the far background a child who looked no older than 10 months. ‘scarlet’ I was ripped out of my thoughts by someone, I hadn’t realized that I had stopped running somewhere along the line ‘oh hey’ I said ‘are you alright’ he asked, the voice had become clear by now, it wasn’t Nathan's but someone else’s ‘yeah, I was just in thought’s’ I said ‘hey look at me, Nathan told me to come to check on you as soon as possible so’ Matt said ‘im fine matt, I was just thinking about a dream I had recently’ I said ‘a dream or more like a nightmare?’ he asked ‘how did you know?’ I asked ‘he told me about it’ he said. ‘he also told me that you had one last night, so yeah’ he told me, I let out a sight. ‘yes I had one last night, it was worse than last time, but nothing to bad, nothing I can’t run of’ I said. ‘scarlet. . .’ ‘what matt?’ he let out a sigh ‘this isn’t a healthy habit you eat to little and run always way to long’ he said.

‘matt, this isn’t your life, it’s mine. And so hat if this isn’t healthy, how else do you expect me to deal with this things, I can’t control it, and this is the only way I can get away from it’ I called out, he was working on my nerves and I was about to burst ‘scar-’ ‘no matt, just . . . leave me alone’ I said as I ran of towards the locker room. Once I was changed I went to the library, to the secret part almost no one knew about this part only a hand full of students, they helped to keep it clean and ordered. There was a part in the secret section where we could sit down and read, most of the others would just order and clean here because almost all the books were written in Latin or in code, but once you know how the code works or know Latin you can read them. I walked past the last row of bookcases and came to a wall one of the books on the shelves that were pinned to the wall was a dark color and in front of it stood ‘latin’ nothing else right onto the book there was a small round object attached to that shelf I held up a card with an id and a code. I heard a click and swung the bookcase open and went in fast.

I walked up to the part were we could sit and past by one of the in Latin written books, this one had a cover with different symbols and colors ‘that wasn’t here last week’ I muttered to myself as I took it of the bookshelf “historiam illorum in virtute” I walked to one of the armchairs and sat down. I looked closely to the cover, I could swear I had seen the symbols somewhere before, so I flipped the book open and at the first page was the title of the book again and the writer’s name ‘R. vail’ I muttered. The name sounded so familiar, I turned the page and saw a picture of a group of people and names written underneath “B. Chiper, W. Cipher, K. Cipher. D. Cipher, T. Strange, S. Strange, T. Gleefull, M. Gleefull, M. Pines, S. Pines, F, Pines, R.vail,” some of the people in the picture recognised from my dream but 3 of them not, but it was clear as day that they were close to the group, maybe even family of some of the people. 

I began to read on the next page, “the history of those with power goes long back, not only those who have a connection with another world have the power, normal humans can learn magic, those humans are called witches, while those who are born with is are considered demons, but what type of demons do you think,let me tell you, this type of demon is called a dream demon, they can alter your dreams and that sort of stuff, but not all dream demons are good, for example, we will take B. cipher, after his son was taken away from him he went insane and became bad, this is called the dipper effect, if a demon, and his counterparts or brothers, have one person they are close to, and this is the same person in every dimension, they get a connection and the moment that person is killed or taken away from that demon, he slowly goes insane, until they are reunited and the demon can find control again” at this point I closed the book and stood up, but I didn’t get out of the secret area, I was on my way out when my legs gave away. I started to cry, I had been through this many times, but this was one of the worst I had in a very long time. The next moment I was sitting against the side of the farest bookcase and fell asleep.

a happy memory 

‘alright class this is raven vail, she’s new in town so be nice to her’ the teacher said, I stood in front of the class and saw some familiar faces. After a while, the bell rang and I walked out ‘she’s a creep’ someone said ‘she’s really weird’ someone else said, I could cry so I walked to the side of the forest and sat against a tree and started to cry ‘hey are you alright’ a soft voice asked, I just nodded, ‘don’t lie, tell me what's wrong’ he said ‘just some stupid kids’ I whispered ‘don’t mind them, no one as beautiful as you should cry’ he said while pulling me up ‘I’m Mason, Mason pines’ he said ‘it’s nice to meet you, Mason, I’m raven’ I said ‘come with me’ I hesitated ‘it will be fun’ he smiled, I dried my tears and went with him, ‘Mason who did you bring?’ one of the girls asked ‘this is Raven, the new girl I told you guys about’ he said ‘it’s nice to meet you, Raven, I’m Stella, and this are Tyrone, Dominic, and Mabel’ she said ‘nice to meet you all’ I said with a smile. We talked until a twig snapped behind me, and made me jump ‘oh, there are Bill, will and kill’ someone said ‘they don’t forget me’ someone else said ‘oh sorry tad’ Tyrone said ‘oh, did you finally make a new friend Mason’ the guy with red hair teased him

oh shut up kill’ he said getting red ‘surely an interesting chose though’ the yellow-haired man said ‘what do you mean dad?’ dominic asked ‘indeed what do you mean, Be a bit more clear, your talking in code Bill’ Stella said ‘I think what he means is that she has a different aura than normal humans’ the blue haired guy said quietly ‘alright decipher that please’ Mabel said ‘decipher’ Dominic laughed ‘what Will was saying is that she’s not a mare human but more powerful, like a witch’ the guy with black and purple hair said ‘so she knows magic, do you mean that uncle tad?’ Dominic asked and he nodded ‘how did you…?’ I asked completely confused ‘oh sweetheart we’re more powerful than normal humans and witches, you see’ he held up his hand engaged in a blue flame ‘but the real question is how powerful are you’ I smirked ‘much more powerful than you’ he said ‘do you really think that cipher’ I said, everyone took a step back at that comment

‘how do you-’ ‘don’t think I’m stupid, my parents told me about the most popular dream demon that went insane after his son was taken away by a mare human’ now I had their full attention ‘ you know there is something that is even more interesting, looking at it, it’s a theory proven right now’ I said ‘who do you think you are!?’ kill stood in front of the group, he was furious ‘let me introduce myself, I am Raven vail, one of the most powerful and last of my kind, the winged shadow demon’ I said, my hands engaged in a purple flame, they gasped until mason walked in front of everyone ‘soi was right, I thought I had heared of that name before. Its nice to meet you raven, let me reintroduce us, this are Dominic, Bill, Will and Kill Cipher, Tad and Stella Strange, Tyrone and Mable Gleefull and I’m Mason pines, we’re all some type of dream demon’ he said and short after bowed before me I bowed back and we laughed the rest joined in soon after, this would be a fun year, after my parents had died I traveled here just to find this group, and now I had found them, ‘they can rest in peace now’ I whispered and that got me a strange look from Mason but nothing bad.

‘Hey, are you okay?’ I heard someone ask in the distance ‘hey wake up’ he said again. I slowly opened my eyes and gasped, the most familiar eyes met mine, his hair fell a bit before his face ‘are you alright?’ he asked, the same voice, ‘y-yeah’ I was trying not to cry, ‘why are you crying’ he asked in a soft worried voice, I hadn’t realized that I was crying, I wanted to go back, or get everyone back together at least and make them remember. ‘i-its nothing really’ I said trying to convince him ‘that’s not true and you know it’ he said as he pulled me up ‘now tell me what’s wrong even if it’s just one word you say, no one as beautiful as you should cry’ he said in a sweet voice, tears streamed down my cheeks by now ‘mason’ I whispered under my breath, he shook his head ‘did you just say Mason’ he asked and I nodded, ‘no one knows. . .’ he let out a sight ‘it was my name in my previous life’

‘let me introduce us again… and I’m Mason pines, we are dream demons’ I whispered so he only could hear the begin and the end of the sentence ‘how? The only one who could know this’ he said ‘let me introduce myself, I am raven vail, one of the most powerful and last of my kind, the winged shadow demon’ I whispered, his eyes widened and teared up ‘how do you know that line’ he said and took a step back and looked me right in the eyes and recognized them ‘it was you’ he whispered ‘let me introduce myself again I’m Scarlet Michalis, best student of rich wood high’ I said he got the clue ‘I’m Chase Black, the second best student at rich wood high’ he was crying after this ‘it’s okay to cry’ I said. The guy I had liked for the longest time, was now in front of me crying. ‘how long did you know’ he asked ‘since the dreams started’ I whispered, somewhere in the distance I heard the bell ring ‘I- I need to go’ I said drying my tears, I grabbed the book from the ground and tucked it in my bag and started to walk away until someone pulled me back. When I turned around to face him he kissed me, my eyes widened in surprise, and  kissed him back. As he looked me straight into the eye when we broke apart, and at that point, I remembered one other think they're looking for us. ‘chase there is one other thing you should know’

‘okay guys this is bad!’ I yelled through the library ‘what’s up Mason?’ Stella yelled back from somewhere, I ran to where the sound came from once I found them I began ‘I was just at the gate looking for a book there when I saw a group closing in they are in the old village right now’ I said in a hurry ‘WHAT’ they all yelled ‘grace come look at this it’s huge’ someone said ‘they are here to the secret section’ bill almost yelled we all ran to the secret section of the library. no one knew about it, only we what did you think otherwise we built this whole building at least bill, kryptos, will, tad and kill did we were the only ones to found it ‘where the hack is raven?’ ash asked ‘she isn’t here?’ Stella asked ‘man that kid is sure a handful’ will said. Let me explain for a sec. ash is the son of kill, Dominic a.k.a dipper is the son of bill and will, and tyroné has known will since he was just 1 day old. Mabel also but she isn’t here now but she will soon hopefully, than you have Stella she is the daughter of tad and kryptos doesn’t have children so me and raven are out of that that’s because we aren’t demons but as soon as Mabel is here me, raven, tyroné and Mabel will be. So that said let’s get back the reality. ‘god dam it’ I mutter and walk out ‘and where do you think you’re going son?’ kryptos asks ‘I’m going to find her if they find her we are doomed you know’ I put on the pentagram we all have it’s a magic pentagram it’s also the only way to get in the secret section of the demons playground.

Raven
When I got back to the central point of where we always are there was no one ‘it’s so clean could it be someone live here marco?’ I heard someone ask ‘shit so everyone is to the secret section because of them’ I sais really quite ‘did you hear that alex’ another voice said ‘me vide quid possums ac fac ego abscendere’ I whispered and I disappeared into thin air just before they turned around the corner, not far from them their stood someone but I didn’t know him and when I turned around I saw mason he stood there in shock ‘you saw it to’ I said grabbing his hand and almost started running to the secret section showing the pentagram around my neck the door went open and once in it slammed close without sound we fell on the ground our faces horrified ‘what was that?’ he asked ‘I have no idea’ I said ‘what are you talking about?’ Dominic asked ‘nothing’ mason said I just stood up and ran up to the drawing room ‘where the hell do you think you’re going young lady I have something have to say to you’ kryptos said

I just totally ignored him and keep going up as soon as I reached the room I busted in and took pencil and paper and started drawing ‘that’s almost it’ I said after about 4 hours ‘MASON!’ I yelled no one could hear it outside the secret safe zone for us so ‘get everyone!’ I yelled after it so I went down and putted the drawing on the table. ‘wha-’ Dominic and bill said and everyone’s yaw dropped ‘this man’ I pointed to the drawing ‘is creeping around our library and by the look of it he has a pentagram in a triangular form’ ‘ford…’ Dominic yaw dropped down even further ‘how is this even possible, he died only 2 years ago’ bill said ‘it can’t be, he can’t have made a deal with a demon he absolutely hates them’ Dominic said. A cracking sound ‘oh no’ I said running towards the gate of the safe zone the moment I arrived the whole gate cracked open and fell apart and there he stood the so called ford ‘no’ I grabbed the book that was near the gate it was some kind of magic book, this book was the key to the safe zone and it was an gift of father before he died just like mom she gave me my pendant ‘what do you want’ I asked hugging the book close to my chest I was now on my knees, he grabbed me by my neck an throw me across the room against the wall ‘you’ he pointed at me ‘are the cause of everything’ he said as he took a knife out of his pocked ‘what did I do’ I said whispering he came running towards me ‘sit aetas craesum’ I said just in time but it didn’t work for long but he didn’t hit me ‘ash!’ I yelled the moment he hit him ‘tergum!’ I jelled at the man and he flew back against the wall where Dominic chained him

‘ash’ mason jelled running toward us ‘sana’ I whispered putting my hands on his wound, not long after that he was healed but he was still out cold mason brought him to his room and the others went back to put ford in some sort of prison here somewhere ‘what do I need to do now’ I asked myself opening the spell book and lying it on the ground only a feet away from the now broken gate. I began to chant and my pendant began to light up and so did the book. Bit by bit a new gate began to create ‘come back here! Raven watch out!’ I heard but it was too far away. A sharp pain shot through my right shoulder, but through that I kept chanting, it wasn’t for long however how longer the chant was how harder it would be to complete it ‘hey you can’t go there! who are you? Come back!’ I heard kill yell, someone else’s voice came up behind me also chanting. Not long after that I was drained of energy and I sank into a darkness.

As soon as I felt it in the library of shadows I knew something was wrong ‘raven’ I whispered as I packed my pendant and some other stuff, ‘praesidio et dissipati peribunt’ I said and left the library of shadows vanished from where it was and I started my journey to the demon’s playground. On my way there I stopped by the other 8 library’s to warn them about this new danger. When I arrived at the demon’s playground I went in from the back and when I came in there was a fight ‘how is this even possible’ I asked walking to the front of this safe zone ‘hey you can’t go there! Who are you? Come back!’ I heard someone yell at me ‘oh no’ I whispered as I began to chant together with raven walking up behind her if I was only a moment later I would be to late I could catch her just in time. I lied her down and stood back up, as the chant began to end the swords of magic circled around me. An new gate appeared in front of me. ‘oh raven, why didn’t you just warn the others’ I said picking her up ‘again who are you and lie her down!’ someone yelled at me ‘oh come on, can a follower library protector visit a college?’ I said lying raven down on the couch nearby ‘wait you are another library protector which one?’ another girl asked ‘the library of shadows’ I said ‘that’s impossible because the moon symbol belongs to this library’ the second girl said ‘indeed my library’s symbol is the sun and there you are wrong your symbol is the number 3 you know because demons’ I tell them

Morgan
There I stood in the middle of an old, dark room, my friends had locked me in the room, it was said the place we stayed was haunted, and the employees said this was one of the most haunted rooms, 'i really hate you guys' I said as soon as I was pushed in and they closed the door, none of them believed that this place was haunted, but what they did was claim they were sensitive to it like hell they don't even know that I am sensitive to it. As soon as I was in the middle of the room I felt that something was around, I closed my eyes so they could adjust to the dark. As soon as I opened them I could faintly see an outline of a man and a woman standing next to each other at the end of the room next to a door possibly leading to the bathroom. Whispers started to fill my ears but I couldn't make out anything of it. This was before the room went from hot to extremely cold, something else was in this room and it, it wasn't anything good and it had bad intentions I turned around and ran to the door, as soon as I started banging on the door infelt that it was closing in behind me 'let me out! ' i screamed before I sank to the floor against the wall next to the door. 'what do you want' I muttered under my breath, I got no response, more spirits began to gather around all over the room, most of them were good but some of them were just pure evil, just like the one that stood in front of me, never in my life I had an encounter like his, and honestly this was messed up. I sat there for what felt like 5 minutes but in truth it was over an hour, I stood back up walking to the middle of the room, now I was the center of the attention good and bad were both fixated on me, I vaguely remember a voice telling me to calm down, and let them do the work, before a bright light came out.

Skye
After we had locked morgan in the room we went back to the ground floor into our hotel room and lay out our equipment to start making safe zones,' I'll start in the common room at the end of the hall' I said and walked out the common room was basically the room where everyone would gather to make plans or as a safe place at night. The others went around in the hotel to make such zone's one every floor on different places, and afterward, I did our room, while the others were still occupied and I was just done with our room, it basically was around 12 Am, shouldn't we let her out?' I asked 'no let her be in there for a couple more hours it's not like we actually need her here now, we'll get her out after demons hour or something after we've finished everything' Jessica said, I sighed and walked back to the common room and got called 'he Skye, it's me Jacob from paranormal investigations' he said 'hey Jacob what's up' I asked him' well I called to let you know that Paranormal Investigations will be joining you at the groundstone hotel, together with division 3, T&L, and a couple of one man parties' he said 'so what do you want me to do?' I asked him 'could you make sure to get all the ground floor rooms clear and safe so we all have a room or maybe two if we are with more than 4' he said 'sure' I said 'okay see ya bye' he said hanging up 'I walked back into our room 'so guys I just got a call, there will be 3 outer groups joining us and also some loners too' I said 'WHAT! Jessica called out,did you invite them' she called out 'no I didn't I just got the call' I said walkingout, I made all the ground floors safe so the ground floor only had the hallwaysand the 'special rooms' hat needed to take care of. Once I was back in the room,someone knocked on the door 'I'll get it' I muttered, but when I opened the doorno one was there, I looked at the clock 2 AM, someone knocked again but we ignoredit, the knocking became banging, and it got worse I looked through the looking wholeand saw a dark room in the far end of it I saw 2 people standing but when I lookedcloser by I saw Morgan banging on the door 'Let me out!' she shouted, a black figurewas behind her coming closer, I swung the door open and it was gone 'are you alrightsky?' jacob asked 'yeah. . . yeah' I said, I knew Jacob since elementary school'Skye what's wrong?' he asked again bfore pulling me outsid to the common room 'it'snothing really' I said ' you're lieing' he said 'realy it's nothing jessica andthe others locked up morgan in one of therooms ad I just god a bad feeling about it' I said, while I was talking anotherguy walked past 'witch room?' he asked 'room 479 why' I said 'oh good lord' he muttered' for how long?' '2 or 3 hours I think' Isaid 'since when?' he asked again 'since 8pm something like that' I muttered 'she'sbeen locked up in that room for over 6 hours' he said 'are you insaine' he calledas he ran off.

As soon as Patton had said that I ran to the room 'oh god' I muttered as I ran in the room, I sat down in the chair Patton had been sitting in, Morgan was sweating and like Patton had said, something was wrong as soon as I touched her hand I got swept away. You see Morgan has the ability of touch, but also she can see things, like visions, mostly about the past, or something that one of the spirits saw before they died, it's what makes her number one. But she also has the ability to connect with another, no one else has proven to have this kind of ability except for the two of us. But when she has one of these visions they can do some damage, just look at how she looked like. When I reopened my eyes I saw Morgan standing in the room from earlier, good and evil spirits surrounded her but two stood out, one entirely black, and one made out of pure light that didn't shine 'what do you want?' morgan muttered looking down, Patton was right someone was screaming, the dark figure reached out his hand towards Morgan, as soon as he did she looked up, and made a motion with her hand, her eyes were filled with tears. 'why did you bring him up' she turned to the light persona, the light faded and now there stood a girl with dark gray hairand a white dress, the other one reached out again, Morgan turned on her heels her hand swingingleaving a trail of light behind it 'don't even think about touching me nox ' she said furiously, 'you know good enough why I did bring him up' a voice said 'and what made you think you got theright to do so Lumine ' she said, the pendant we shared hung around her neck andwas visible 'you know you'll need him' the girl said 'and what makes you think that3 hours ago I didn't even know anything about any of you' she called out. 2 otherfigures emerged from the dark, another boy and a girl 'she has a point you know' the other girl said 'and what makes you say thatKaine' she said ' I think she's sayingthat you'll need them if they show up ' the guy said 'why, why do you always keep saying that kay you don't even know if they will come' she said, virgil stood by my side 'whats going on' he whispered, I lifted my shoulders. 3 others joined the group, 1 girl and 2 boys, 'they are right you know 'the guy with his costume said 'not you three too, what are you even doing here Drogo ' Morgan said 'you don't have to be so rude ' the other girl said 'I'm not rude I'm annoyed Lee ' she said again, the other guy who showed up hadn't said a word 'and what would you like to say, Rowen ?' Morgan asked 'I've got nothing, I'm on your side at this one, you've got them' he said mentioning towards us. Right then and there I think she saw us and everything around us started to go in and out of focus 'they've got you, my princess' the guy she called rowen said 'I've got you ' he whispered before everything faded away.
Patton
After roman ran to the room, Virgil followed, when we got in the room they both were holding a hand of morgan and between them also one 'what is going on?' I asked reaching out for Virgil 'don't!' logan called out 'why not logan?' I asked 'they are in a connection, if we break it now, it can do serious damage not only to them but also to us, it can take an ability away or in the worst case all of them' he told me 'oh, that's something serious' I muttered, time went by, 30 minutes, and they still were like that, after a full hour they started to move Roman's head shot up and Virgil fell back breaking the bond between everyone 'roman, what was that all about?' virgil asked 'roman stood up and shoved everyone outside and locked the door, 'roman open that door right now, I want an explanation' Virgil shouted and banged on the door 'leave' was all that came from the other side 'roman!' Virgil called out again 'go get her stuff or something but leave me alone!' roman shouted 'Virgil, come on let's get to our room, then we can talk alright' logan muttered he nodded, roman never shouted let stand even raise his voice, so the hear him shout gave enough away. 'I'll go get all her stuff, Logan why don't you come to' Thomas said, and they left 'what's wrong?' I asked 'I-I don't know, in the connection, I-I saw something' he started struggling to find the words 'calm down Virgil, take a deep breath' Logan said 'we can't have you having a panic attack when tomorrow we're going to start clearing out this hotel' he mentioned above his head 'why don't we go to sleep and see how they are doing by morning' Thomas suggested 'we still have a spare bed' he sighed 'you sure' Virgil said and we all headed to bed, 'what do you think got into him' he asked as we laid in the dark 'I don't know, but it probably will have to do with her or what you two saw' I said 'or what he heard, there was at the end this guy his name was rowen, and he told morgan that he was on her side with the argument they were talking about and at the end he said "they've got you, my princes" and he looked at roman before looking back at her and said "I've got you" maybe he heard and is it about that' virgil told.

'roman?' I muttered, 'you're awake?' he hurried to my side 'what happened?' I asked 'wait you don't remember' he asked 'I remember getting here and that we were going around the hotel one of the employees told the others about this room and then. .' 'you were locked up in that room it was room 479 the most danger roo of this hotel, you've been in there for 7 hours' he told me, slowly but surely the memories started to come back. 'oh god, I'm going to murder that woman!' I called out sitting up, 'bad idea' roman said pushing me back down 'just relax for now alright, either way, they think you went home' he said in a hushed voice 'and you know you don't have to hide who you really are when I'm around' he said, it was true for the last 3 months I've lived as Morgan Hill at the home base of Jenifer&co, leaving Roman and Virgil at home together with my dog, Nyx 'let's get some sleep, do you want me to get anything for you in the morning?' he asked 'can you get Nyx and get some stuff from the store?' I asked and he nodded, I made a list of things he needed to get and wet to sleep. I woke up to nyx jumping on my bed happy as ever to see me,normally I would visit him daily when I was in a company but in jessica&co I was under Cervantes constantly, with division 3 and paranormal investigators worked under different names and would go home almost daily, none of the other companies knew about hir, it was one of the secrets I kept for myself, it was a clue to who I really am, you see MorganVail the famous number one had a dog it's a mix between a German shepherd and a border colly, and that's nyx. 'can I ask you something?' he asked passing me the bag of supplies I asked for 'about what?' I asked sitting up ' it's about what we saw in your vision, what was it about?' he asked softly 'I - I don't really know for sure what we saw, the only thing I really know for sure is that they mentioned my brother' I muttered 'but how did you know their names? He asked 'I had a feeling' I muttered 'and I saw them before in my dreams' 'why didn't you tell me before?' he asked 'because it's only recent event, it hasn't been around for a long time' I muttered 'but something else why did you need all those supplies?' Roman asked 'remember what I looked like when I still lived with you after what happened with my dad and when was announced that I was number one?' I asked 'he nodded 'let's say we'll go back to then' I muttered before slowly getting up and going into the bathroom where I colored my hair, for the first time in a long time I didn't put my colored contact lenses in. My hair was back in its original dark brown color but with purple in it, something that I wanted to do for a long time. And I put on my own clothes from back then, this took around an hour when I walked out and roman gasped 'how do I look ro?' I asked him 'just like you' he said. When he looked at the clock it showed 8:55 am, 'it's almost time for the meeting' he said holding his hand out to me, 'let's get going' he said dragging me towards the common room. once we were there we went to the little stage in front of the room. Patton, Logan, Thomas, and Virgil were already standing in front of it. people started to walk in the common room and took place all around the stage, I was behind the stage, nyx by my side. 'so, we're going into different groups, in the day you will all be sorted, and placed in different groups and different area's on the first and ground floor' roman called out 'why in hell's name do we have to go into different groups when we have our companies' Ryan, a guy from division 3 called out 'because you all don't have balanced out teams' I shouted. 'and what do you know huh' he called back 'oh I know way more than you think' I said 'so the selections will start in an hour every team will be chosen carefully by miss vail' roman said 'you are all dismissed'. About a hour later we started the sorting, up until now we had everyone parted from the groups,

Shiro

‘hey, Shiro what’s up’ Nathan asks me ‘nothing I just had a weird dream last night’ I said ‘alright tell me what was it about?’ jayce asked ‘about this me and this 4 other people, there was 1 girl and then everyone disappears except that girl, then there is this explosion and we’re outside just in time and then I woke up’ I tell them ‘maybe it wasn’t a dream but a part of a memory you know’ Jayce says they are the only ones who know about my amnesia. ‘ I don’t know Jayce, Maybe it was maybe not, but first let’s eat, I’m starving’ Nathan said, and that was the start of the day, an hour later the first class started, yes we are not allowed to leave the base, but there are some people here to give us our lessons ‘first off, the director asked me to let you know that 2 days ago another experiment ended the only problem was that it ended 5 years too early so, they said to avoid this girl at all cost’ the teach said showing a picture on the screen

‘miss wade, how are we supposed to act when one of us does run into her?’ ashley asked ‘at all cost do not let her touch you if she does you will go in postomatic stress, also if she attacks try running away but go straight to the lab, where they can contain her again’ miss wade says. ‘he Shiro’ Nathan says while punching me in the side ‘Shiro…’ Jayce continues. I couldn't stop looking at the picture, the only difference is the dress she’s wearing, all the rest the black and white hair, the color of her eyes, it’s all the same right in front of me was a picture of the girl in my dream. I couldn't think of anything else after that, it was weird I knew her, from not that long ago ‘so it was a memory’ I mutter, ‘he Shiro come on, talk it has been 4 hours since you spoke’ Nathan said

It’s only one backpack that it take’s to move and another for my school stuff so that will be it’ I muttered to myself so I did just that when the door slightly opened I jumped in bed the bags under my bed and pretending to be asleep, and it worked, after they were gone, I was gone to. I opened the door of room 00751, and just like he had said there was some stuff I could use to get way ahead of the scandals of my research ‘thank the goddess for this’ I said, ‘I hoped you would like it’ director Christoph said.

‘ very much’ I say, I maybe don’t remember much but he’s been there all the way from day 1, the day it all started with me and 4 others ‘you know she’s looking for you’ he said ‘I’m looking for her to you know’ I said ‘I know Shiro, I know, that’s why I gave you this room, her room will be not far from here as soon as she can walk around and attend to classes’ he said, ‘what’s so different about her?’ I asked ‘your asking about the day that the other lab went up in flames’ he asked, I nodded ‘alright let’s sit down for this’ so we went to the sofa’s in my room ‘alright, You’re sure you want to know this and what happened to the others’ he asked ‘yes Christoph, I’ve had these dreams for 2 months now’ I said ‘alright’ he said with a sight, ‘like you know, in the very begin of the experiment you were with 5, you, her, and 3 other boys, but the longer you guys were together the more you started to hate them because of what they said and did to her, after half of a year something went horribly wrong and the 3 other kids died, but you 2 survived, not only that happened that day but something or someone started a fire and the mechanics in the building exploded, you 2 not only saved most of the research but also dr.Lee, James and me, the only price it had cost was that she went in a coma for over 5 years and you , you lost one of your arms. It was a year before you woke up out of your coma, and we’re glad you woke up, and we’re glad she woke up, but both of you have a special ability, you’re connected with the dark realm.

As soon as I had heard that I ran out ‘Shiro!’ I heard Lee and Christoph yell, but I didn’t care she needed me and I needed her. I followed the screaming of the other kids ‘Shiro?!’ Nathan called out as I came running by ‘Shiro wait up’ they both yelled, I stopped abruptly as soon as I saw her ‘Shiro, don’t’ Jayce yelled ‘Rave…’ I whispered. Slowly walking towards her ‘Shiro stop!’ nathan yelled at me ‘there she is contain her’ some people called out running towards her ‘no…’ she said breathless. I looked around and there was this weird feeling I had, we weren’t alone so I ran over to her and covered her. Not only were they shooting at me but the dark realm also interfered, I could feel them and the knives against my back.

‘Shiro!’ Christoph yells as I fall on the ground, ‘Shiro…’ rave whispered taking my hand ‘it will be alright, I promise’ I said to her ‘stop shooting!’ James yelled to the others ‘Lee get these 2 out of here’ Christoph said. ‘it’s okay rave it’s Christoph’ I said, she was on the verge of tears. ‘Shiro, are you alright?’ christoph askes in panic ‘I’m fine Christoph really’ I said, I knew that I wasn’t, I was bleeding badly from all the cuts on my back. ‘come on, let's get you to the lab, then we can fix you up’ James says and helps me up ‘what the actual hell’ Lee says as he walks up behind me ‘what do you mean lee?’ james asks ‘you didn’t see, just look’ lee sais, then they gasped. ‘how can this be?’ Christoph questions ‘can we hurry, if I can’t treat those wounds he can die’ Rave spoke up for the first time ‘what do you mean rave?’

‘let’s get him in the lab first I’ll explain later’ she says. ‘alright let’s go then’ Lee says taking over from James and dragging me to the lab ‘what do you need?’ he asked Rave ‘lay him on his side and get the clothes of the wounds’ she says. ‘how can we help?’ Christopher asked and she started to give everyone a task to fulfil ‘Shiro, stay with me’ she said. I whined as she touched the wounds ‘what caused this?’ James asked ‘darks’ she said ‘Rave, what do you mean with darks?’ lee said ‘you know people out of the dark realm, with darks I refer to their scouts’ she said ‘the only question is why’ Christoph said ‘I know why’ I muttered ‘why than Shiro?’ Lee asked me ‘they can feel the connection we have with the dark realm they marked him, so they could find him again, and his energy shielded mine so they didn’t detect me’ rave explained. As time went by the voices of the others started to fade away ‘Shiro, wake up!’ Christopher yelled at me ‘I’m… awake’ I said slowly. ‘I’m almost done just stay with me a little longer’ Rave said. It wasn’t long after that when the dark took over.

By the time I woke up, it was dark outside but everyone was still here. Rave was sleeping on the side of the bed and holding my hand. Christoph, James, and Lee were scattered over the room lying on the floor, table and something that looked like a big tv, ‘how late is it?’ I questioned myself, waking everyone up ‘Shiro’ one of them said ‘thanks the goddess you're awake’ Christoph said, ‘let’s give these 2 some privacy’ James said pulling lee and Christoph to the door. Rave was crying ‘I thought I lost you’ she said ‘I told you everything would be alright’ I said smiling at her. ‘how long was I out?’ I asked her ‘for almost a week’ she said ‘I’m here and I will never leave you again I promise’ I say comforting her ‘Lee come back here’ we here Christoph jell out of nowhere ‘let’s go see what’s going on’ she says, I nod and stand up. At the door we see James stand ‘where ‘s Christoph?’ I ask ‘he’s going after Lee’ he says ‘Why?’ Rave asks ‘why would I know’ James says ‘Lee it’s not the time for this’ we hear him say ‘yes it is’ he says as 2 little things jump on me and rave ‘who are these?’ I ask ‘I don’t know you tell me’ Lee says smiling ‘what, you really mean?!’ I asked excitedly ‘yes’ Christoph says in defied ‘thank you so much’ I say petting the dark doglike creature. Rave’s was black on the back and his paws also a part of his head and white in his neck, belly, and upper paws and also the point of his tail was white. Mine was mostly a dark black color but his head and neck were a darker gray color also the point of his tail was this color, and these were just pups, how nice would they look when they were fully grown

‘how are you going to name them?’ Lee asked, ‘Dawn’ rave said looking at her little pup ‘Shiro how are you going to name this little boy’ lee asks as he pets the little black pup ‘maybe rouge, or Myst, I don’t know yet’ I say. ‘you should go get some rest Shiro’ Lee says ‘good idea, see you in the morning’ I say ‘come one little one’ I say to the pup who’s looking at me, he follows me to my room ‘here you go, buddy’ I say as I set him on the bed and lay myself down. “come on Shiro, why won’t you play with me’ Liz said ‘no Elizabeth I’m tired’ I said laying down in the grass ‘oh come on rouge, play with us” everything went up in flames screams came from everywhere ‘Shiro’ people yelled ‘rouge help us’ Liz called out ‘help” I shot straight up in my bed ‘it was just a dream’ I muttered, something fully came walking to my ‘he myst’ I muttered and it looked so happy ‘what do you think, a walk to the gym?’ I asked and it barked quietly and so we walked to the gym. ‘Shiro?’ someone asked after a while Myst jumping in front of me ‘who’s asking?’ I asked ‘o man I thought you would never wake up’ he said ‘again who are you?’ I asked ‘oh come on you don’t recognize me’ he said, Myst started growling at this point, I don’t have a good feeling about this so I turned around and no one was there ‘oh that’s right, you can’t see me’ he said ‘then leave him alone’ someone else said ‘oh come on matt, he’s an old friend’ the guy said.

‘still if he can’t see you, he’s not trained’ the other guy called matt says ‘o come on matt’ he whines ‘no logan, don’t even try he was out for a week after what your scouts did’ matt yelled ‘how could I know they would do that?!’ the guy called Logan yelled back ‘you knew they would do that to him after what happened’ matt yelled again, in the corner of my eye I saw rave standing in the other door, signing me to come so I did and we got away ‘who were that?’ I questioned, ‘who was who?’ Christoph asked ‘2 guys named Logan and matt, and they told me they knew me’ I said Christoph gasped and so did lee who entered at the moment ‘you mean they are alive?’ Lee asks ‘ I don’t know I couldn’t see them’ I said ‘so they are alive but in the dark realm’ James said as he tuned in on the conversation, ‘I think so’ I said ‘why were you up so early Shiro?’ rave asked ‘because I couldn’t sleep anymore’ I said looking down. I let out a sigh of relief ‘what’s up Shiro we haven’t seen you in a week or something, what have you been up to?’ Jayce asked ‘only a very long nap’ I said as they started to laugh ‘are you serious?’ nathan ‘Yes very serious, I took a nap for a week after what happened with rave’ I said ‘wait what, who’s rave?’ nathan asked ‘the girl’ I said ‘oh no, you can’t see her anymore Shiro she’s dangerous’ Jayce said ‘you can’t just say that you don’t even know that!’ I yelled at them, something just snapped ‘what are you talking about, after you touched her you fell into a coma for a week!’ jayce yelled back ‘that was not the reason I fell into a coma, you idiot!’ I called out and then myst barked ‘what’s wrong boy’ I asked kneeling down beside him. I walk into my room and let myself fall onto the bed. When I turn around I see my pod it’s like a capsule only big enough to fit me.

 I change and open the pod and lie down when it closes I close my eyes to countdown to traveler state the robotic voice says. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, traveler state activated the pod cools down quite a bit. The last measurement was just 4°C and in my room it’s normally around 20°C-25°C travel state completed have a fine journey I felt like I left my physical body behind and traveled to another dimension, actually I did that welcome to dimension 30665 dragons edge I opened my eyes to see a whole other room I opened the pod and looked around ‘you’re back’ something that looked like an oversized dog with wings jumped on me ‘raven!!’ and there was my shadow dragon it was smaller than the usual dragon but 10 times as fast and as it shoots it never misses

And the landscape here was just beautiful. ‘common lets go for a flight’ I told them.

I put the saddle on Elijah the black dragon he was shot out of the air before I found him and he lost one of his tailfin’s when I’m around I always fly on him without his automatic tailfin and I haven’t talked about the other riders like an example Theo and his dragon Silver, they really match each other they have both silver-ish blue and silver , by Theo in his hair and by silver are it some scales around his head. Kain the second best dragon rider here he and his dragon ty are also the defends here for the village down this mountain together with Ashton and Theo is ground defends together with his dragon. Now back to where we were ‘can you get off me please’ I ask ‘nope not going to happen we didn’t see you in so freaking long’ Ashton says. Ashton he and his dragon Casey they’re amazing and let’s say almost everyone thinks we have a thing but we haven’t ‘guys I missed you all too but I really want to get up’ I said in a childish tone.

I have been running for my whole life. Ever since I was 5 I have been running. Today after 13 years I still am and I’m losing myself. Not just because the past year I have crossed 12 countries and now I ended up here somewhere in the south area of the united kingdom. I was planning to cross the sea and to go somewhere in Europe when someone came to me and pushed me to a wall, ‘I know what you can do so who are you?’ the guy asked ‘who are you mister and I don’t know what you’re talking about’ I said defensively. He dragged me into a little ally way ‘ you’re an Eltra one of the last’ he said. ‘ so I’m an eltra because I’m a girl? sorry boy but I’m not an eltra I can control more than one and it’s the reason I’m running for so long I can remember the last time I saw my parents was a day before I became 5’ I said, that’s the moment he backed off a little. ‘wait you’re on the run for who?’ he asked. ‘for the people who killed my parents and who wants me dead because I’m not an Eltra’ I said ‘ but the Altra's don’t exist anymore, I’m the last my father died protecting me...’ he backed off even more, ‘there are people who want the eltra and altra dead so there are only human here in this world’ he looked so shocked, when I heard a scream ‘there she is and look she found the boy we were looking for’ a man jelled.

He nodded and run to the other side straight to the port. I hope he made it without trouble, and it would be nice if they stopped following. Finally the port came in sight and I saw Hayden standing on a boat. As soon as he saw me he made the boat loose from the shore and started the boat. He was not far from the shore but far enough that I just could reach it. So I jumped on the boat and he sailed away. With the speed we were going I was surprised that they could stay on our back ‘hey Casey take the wheel’ Hayden said. So I walked over to him and took over the wheel ‘what are you up to?’ I asked. ‘nothing good for them maybe we can get them off our backs’ he said ‘really, otherwise at this raid we will need to run for our lives as we reach land’ I said

He did what was needed to get way up ahead and we reached land just before nightfall. We ran for hours and didn’t stop until we thought it was safe to rest for a while. Although we just sat down for a half of an hour and then they had couth up with us, that really sucked ‘how can they be so fast, there are no roads here where in the middle of nowhere’ Hayden said. ‘they have horses, we need something fast to’ I said while running towards the woods ‘where are you going?’ Hayden jelled from behind me ‘just hurry up’ I yelled back ‘they went into the forest’ someone jelled ‘quick run between the trees so we force them to go on foot after us’ I said. Before we started running again I howled. ‘why did you do that?’ Hayden asked ‘if I can believe the legend and I know they are true there are wolf-like dog here and if they know they can trust you they can let you ride on their backs’ I told him. ‘how do you even know that the legend is true?’ he asked ‘I have been here before and I have met one and I was sad that I had to leave him behind but I promised that I should come back and that then we would travel the world together with or without me being in danger’ I told him ‘when did you come here ?’ he asked ‘about 10 years ago’ ‘they you were just 8 for how long have you been running?’ I looked away and said ‘about 13 years its almost 14’ I was just said because I don’t know anything else but running

‘ I’m so sorry let’s go find them’ I nodded. Not long after that those people were right behind us ‘come on, how can they be so fast’ I said ‘wait a second what’s that’ Hayden asked pointing at the big furry black and white beast coming at full speed our way ‘it’s one of them, the wolf-like dogs from the legends’ I said with a big smile it wasn’t just one of them it was the one I befriend and had to leave behind ‘come on’ I said and pulled over to the side once he had jumped every last of that man lying on the ground ‘hey boy’ I said softly and jumped on his back, Hayden tried but he did not succeed. I helped him up to his back and we ran off to the pack. ‘Hayden one last thing if the alpha comes out you need to bow’ I said ‘why’ ‘because we are like invaders to their home I have been here before and that almost went wrong so just bow okay’ I said. Not long after that we arrived by the pack and jumped of Takota’s back ‘ I missed you to bud’ I said and then the alpha came out. It was a long time ago but I still recognize him and his name reminds me of my uncle. Every wolf-like dog bowed for their alpha I kneeled and bowed also but Hayden stood there with an open mouth, once I had a grip on his belt I pulled him down and the alpha growled. ‘if you don’t stop this you’re going down’ I growled under my breath ‘after I said that his head touched the ground. The alpha walked over to us and greeted me like one of his own but by Hayden was it a different story he stood over him and placed one paw on his head he growled a than looked back to me, nodding his head to come with him and that Takota could come to. We went with him to his place it was like a small cabin. It was just small but we fitted perfectly in it, I remember that I build some of these for them. ‘it’s nice to have you back Casey’ says Rayden the alpha ‘the pleasure is mine alpha Rayden’ I said because I spend a long time here I learned to understand them and he learned me how to speak their language.

‘please Casey, stop with being so formal you know you’re always welcome here, but tell me who’s the boy your traveling with?’ Rayden asked ‘I’m so sorry for his behavior he just doesn’t understand the rules of this all. His name is Hayden and he’s like me, an altra we came here together after we crossed a part of the ocean, I thought this was the safest place to go for now’ I told him ‘so Casey why are you here, can you tell me what you need? Maybe we can help you with something’ he asked ‘maybe, if it’s possible I would like to have takota with me for a while and if someone of your pack would like to accompany Hayden that would be amazing and there are humans that are chasing us in the woods we will go the moment they come to close to this place’ I said ‘alright I will contact our friends above in the sky to look out for them that way you can leave even before they come into our territory’ he said before walking out, we followed and I saw Hayden look so shocked that he almost passed out because of it ‘Casey’ many of the pups jelled and came to me. Most of them from the elders who were pup when I came here first.

The second time when I was 12 I met takota he was just a few weeks old and it was like, I don’t know like we had a connection. Since then we were inseparable until I had to go they were too precious to me so I couldn’t let anyone come close what if they were discovered and they were captured and killed for science. I couldn’t let that happen. That was when we made a promise. And now it’s time to full fit that promise ‘ takota can you take me to your friends and the others of your age, I would like to ask them something’ I said and he nodded ‘come Hayden let’s see if someone likes you’ I said pulling him up and to the way takota was heading. ‘Casey!’ almost all of them jelled ‘you sit down and watch’ I said with a bit of an alpha like tone in my voice ‘Casey, please don’t do that voice again it’s kinda scary’ Jake said I looked at takota and she nodded ‘sorry guys but otherwise he doesn’t listen to me but I have to ask you something’ I said ‘what is it’ they asked full of curiosity ‘well look, I don’t know if anyone of you would even like him but can you try and if anyone of you feel something come tell me please I would like to if someone of you guys can be his brother or sister like takota is my brother to me’ I told them in a careful way they just all nodded and came hugging me before going to him with a careful look.

so we gave them time Hayden even fell asleep as they kept coming to see if they could be like a brother or sister to him, like he didn’t care that they could be dangerous. One of the younger went to him and lied down next to him, actually behind him so he wouldn’t catch a cold. The next morning they still were there where they fell asleep ‘Hayden’ I said quietly ‘huh’ he mudders and turned around ‘hey little one what’s your name?’ I asked ‘who are you and how can you speak this language’ he jumped up and looked at me .’it’s alright I’m Casey I’m close to alpha Rayden and takota here. I lived with this pack for a while when I was younger and alpha Rayden taught me to speak you’re language’ I told the little one ‘ I guess it’s okay then. I’m Jayce and can I ask you what is this that I feel and who is this?’ he asked ‘that Jayce is Hayden he travels with me and that thing you feel is like a brother bond. It’s the bond between human and animal it doesn’t happen much more often, you’re lucky to find someone to share this with’ I told him he looked at me with his eyes full of happiness and hope, the moment Hayden woke up Jayce started to jump up and down ‘Casey, can I come with you two?’ he asked full hope and enjoyment ‘you’ll have to ask alpha Rayden’ I said to him before walking behind him and Hayden on our way to Rayden. When we walked in the alpha gave me a look I don’t know but he was surprised ‘Jayce what brings you here?’ Rayden asked ‘alpha I came here to ask you something’ said Jayce careful ‘go-ahead Jayce’ ‘alpha I would like you’re permission to go with this group’ he told Rayden ‘why Jayce?’ Alpha Rayden asked

then looking at me, at that moment Takota walked in and came to me and then Rayden realized that Jayce and Hayden had this to ‘alright Jayce I understand but remember you’re too young to go on your own so you will be under the look of Casey and takota just like he is do you understand this and be ready to go any time from now on you have to understand the circumstances they live in are not ideal but they don’t chose this go to your home with Hayden and tell your mother than come back for your headpiece and saddle you to takota go to your mother for the last time you know she doesn’t have long anymore’ alpha Rayden told them and they left Jayce and Hayden went to his mother and we went to Takota’s mother ‘hey mom’ ‘takota it’s good to see you’ she said ‘hello miss black’ I said ‘Casey it’s been a long time I saw you how are you?’ she asked ‘still on the run but good’ ‘it’s great that you came here after all this time now I really can leave in piece if I know Takota's with you’ even for me this is really hard, when I came here and takota and I made that bond they took me in, they learned me how to hunt and how to survive if I couldn’t get any foot for over a week and most of all they took me in and took care of me they were like parents to me. I laid my hand on her chest she was breathing very heavy ‘I will take good care of takota Shana I promise that for sure’ I promised ‘thank you Casey, and takota you made me the happiest mother alive when you found her take good care of each other’ she said ‘I love you mom, we will never forget you I will carry you and dad always in my heart’ takota said ‘I love you takota’ with that the lights inside Shana’s eyes dove out. tears came out of his eyes this was so hard for him he lost his father during a hunt when he was just a pup. When we came out he howled and everyone knew that she died. It was a very sad evening, everyone came and went to give her their last respect and a good bye. The last was the alpha, he said the last words to her before the ceremony started. ‘today is a day of mourning, we lost one of our loyalist, friendliest and best, a mother, a friend, a wife, someone who took in a total stranger learned her our language, she made her one of us, that she watches over us from above, from where everything is better, where there is peace, let her rest in peace and quiet. That she has a good journey to her new life’ the alpha spoke to all of us.

nightmares

another scream pierced through the air of the building, no one lived here only us, the forgotten like they call it. The screams, it’s why everyone left. They couldn’t bear to hear them, the screams of our nightmares. No one knows what we’ve been through and yet they all depend on us, the heroes of their world. But we’re just children, but we grew up this way. I got up, stumbling towards the door of the room, yet another scream rose from the darkness. I went through the hall to the room where it came from, this was Mike's room he was only 15 but he lived here a long time for over 9 years I believe it is ‘mike wake up’ I said in a hushed voice, ‘can someone shut him up!’ someone from the building across yelled ‘o just shut up you old man!’ kayne jelled back, ‘mike’ I said a little louder I covered my ears just in time as he screamed again ‘mike, wake up it’s just a dream’ I said even louder than it was meant to, he shot up from his bed straight into my arms ‘easy it was just another nightmare’ I whispered into his ear, Kayne brought in a cup of tea for mike, we all loved it after we had a nightmare it was there to give us back our sanity, I nodded and got up when Scarlett walked in, I made myself a cup of tea before going back into my own apartment and going back to bed.

But not for too long though it was now 1 AM. And the bell rang ‘I’ll get it’ I called out ‘who is it?’ I asked ‘it’s the police ma’am can I come in?’ he asked ‘alright the 3th floor’ I said opening the door from this floor. Once he was on the floor I stood outside the door that was placed to get the wing we live in ‘ma’am we received a report of nuisance from someone in the building across the street’ he said ‘I’m sorry officer but I don’t know what you’re talking about because we’re the only ones living in this building we secured everything to be soundproof on the wing so I don’t know who could have heard something that wasn’t there’ I said closing the door, and at that moment an ear-piercing scream filled the room ‘oh, curse the gods’ I said ‘please stay here officer the others don’t know you are here and they don’t like other people around so please stay here’ I said quickly walking off towards ‘matt what’s going on?’ I called out, but he kept screaming ‘Matt cut it out already’ called out again the lights began to flicker ‘hey what’s going on in there?’ the police officer called out. ‘MATT!’ I yelled again ‘Kayne! Logan!’ I called out, I heard the footsteps of the officer coming towards us, Matt was still screaming he had his hands on his head ‘what’s going on here’ the police officer said ‘sir can you please wait outside’ I said desperately trying to get him out because of Matt's power ‘If they only would hurry up’ I said but too late I was only just in time to get the police out of the room as result that I got hit with electricity.

I let out a soft cry of pain ‘curse the gods and all around them for this and curse logan and Kayne for not showing up and o yeah that police officer for showing up this late at our door’ I kept cursing everything and anyone that came to mind and finally Kayne and Logan showed up ‘what took you so long?!’ I called out still laying on the ground ‘are you comfortable, ma’am?’ the police asked both logan and Kayne jumped up at hearing the voice of the stranger ‘why is the police here?’ he looked at me ‘someone from across the street called him because the nonbailable noise we made but as you know this building floor is soundproof and no one can hear unless there is a window open’ I said getting up slowly,’was there a window open?’ I asked looking at them. ’not that I know’ Kayne said ‘I didn’t know that the people across the street would call the police’ Logan said ‘Why logan, why in the middle of the night’ I complained ‘it was really hot in my room you know’ he said ‘so then go sleep in another room or put on the airco’ I said to him but…’ ‘ no buts logan we installed the airco to avoid this kind of situations’ I said as I got up, and in that little moment Kayne pulls logan out and I push the police officer out the door, I got another hit, ‘stay out, and tell the person who called you that we’re sorry and that it won’t happen again’ I call out if the officer tries to come in the room ‘alright’ he says with a sigh ‘logan go close your window’ I say ‘ Kayne be so nice to bring the officer to the door’ I tell him and right after that matt screamed again and another electric bolt was shot at me, ‘matt wake up’ I yell at him he shoots up drenched in sweat.

‘ morgan?’ he asked confused ‘what the hell was that’ I whispered before I fell on my knees ‘Morgan!’ matt jelled jumping out of bed ‘I’m alright’ I say ‘what happened here?’ logan asked ‘nothing’ I said before the darkness took over…

where am I, as I opened my eyes I was in an open field in the woods of my hometown, mike, Kayne, logan, matt, and scarlet were also there they were laughing at each other while playing hide and seek ‘come morgan come play with us’ Kayne yelled at me then everything went gray and rain started pooring down everyone was ingured and I was the only one between them and those people ‘give up girl you can’t win this’ one of the man said ‘I will protect them’ I said and stood up 2 knives in my hands they came towards me and the next thing I know is that I lie on the table with strips holding me down ‘I told you that you couldn’t win’ ‘but soon you can win and protect them’ and the burning pain I got after that I will never forget, they made us like this, they broke us and changed us, and that’s how we lost everything ‘you will all become heroes of tomorrow’ they said, the only thing they didn’t say is that we would lose our sanety after some time…

I shot right up drenched in sweat, normally someone would scream after that kind of dream, but the thing is this wasn’t that kind of nightmare, it was a memory that played in my dream this really happened, it was the day they shot all my friends. I was the last one standing, I was also the one who was given the strongest power and I wasn’t the easiest for them and so we managed to escape 6 years ago. I slowly got up out of the bed and went into my bathroom.

We were on our way to Deaton when out of nowhere someone ran in front of the car, Scott hit the brakes and stopped just in time, the guy had his hand on the jeep and not much later he fell to the ground 'Scott' I yelled getting out the car 'don't look at me I didn't hit him' he said 'then how can he be out cold' I said 'I don't know we'll take him with us' Scott said as he picked him up and laid him in the back seat 'okay lets go now were already late' he said. We drove off and I heard a howl 'did you hear that' I said 'yes even more reason to hurry up' he said speeding up. As soon as we arrived we heard another howl only closer.

‘Scott’ I said as we walked in ‘who did you bring?’ deaton asked ‘we don’t know this guy ran in front of the car and passed out’ I said ‘oh, and not even 5 minutes later we heard a howl and like 5 minutes ago’ Scott added ‘lay him on the table’ Deaton said. When Deaton was checking him someone ran in, ‘eh Scott’ I said ‘yeah what?’ he asked as he walked out, he stopped dead in his track when he saw the big wolf standing in front of the clinic, Deaton owned an animal clinic. In a matter of seconds stood a girl in front of us, she had long dark grayish hair and reddish gray eyes ‘who are you’ Scott asked, she looked behind us and saw the guy lying ‘she’s like you, she can't get over’ Deaton said to our surprise she jumped right over and ran to the guy ‘Jordan’ she said as she was beside him.

The guy named Jordan slowly opened his eyes as she held his hand. We heard another howl, the guy jorden shot up and fell of the table, this was the first time we took a good look at them both.
